Albert House help sponsor Weston’s Carnival 11th Nov 2016

As we have started to do every year we help sponsor the Weston Carnival. Though our Residents can’t get to see it (too late and usually a little wet), we all support the Carnival which really is a world class event.

New Telephone System

We apologise if you have tried over the last month to ring us but got engaged or worse. We have a new system and we were let down by Openreach in a big way. It should now be up and running and allows us to offer easily telephones in the rooms if our Residents wish.

Albert House uses hundred of teabags everyday and we have decided to buy from a local supplier DJ Miles based in Porlock. Its excellent tea and already much appreciated by the Residents and staff.

Our Matron to Retire

Sadly Catherine Barron, our Matron of 12+ years, is to retire and therefore leaves us at the end of March, we are all sad and will miss her. We hope she has a happy and active retirement, which I am sure she will as she is an active person.
