Paying for Care

Understandably, the cost of paying for private nursing and residential care can be significant, and this is often a concern for the resident and their family. We aim to offer the highest standards of care available at affordable prices. Fees are calculated on a weekly basis, and depend on the type of care required and the size of bedroom chosen. Costs are based on many factors including the type and category of care you require and even the size of bedroom you need.

These change so often it is difficult for us to put on the website, so please ring us and ask, we are happy to answer any questions on Council or self funding.

We do have a few extras that are not included in the fees (and for short term residents must be settled immediately if required):

  • Hairdressing (weekly)
  • Chiropody (6 weekly)
  • Marking/labelling of clothes
  • Newspapers and magazines
  • Toiletries (though you can bring preferred brands yourself)
  • Transport and escort to outside appointments e.g. hospital etc.
  • On bus activity trips – only cost of purchases e.g. cream teas and entrance fees.
